Outcomes: The massage therapist will have enough of an understanding of the spa business, including spa terminology, to get a job in a spa or to begin introducing spa products and services into her/his work environment.  In addition, the student will be taught and know different methods of product application and removal.  The student will also understand the spa environment and how it may differ from a therapeutic massage practice.
The student will:

  1. Be proficient in three, hands on, spa treatments.
  2. Pass a written test of 11 questions with a score of 80% on spa terminology
  3. Understand differences in the spa environment from the massage therapy practice.
Advanced Spa Training
for the Massage Therapist (24 CE Hours)


Lypossage® 1, 2 and 3 (The Body Complete):  This class offers information on body treatments including various concentric treatment to Lypossage®  The class includes discussion, demonstrations and lots of hands-on works.  Our goal is to provide an understanding, as well the tools and skills needed to perform the Lypossage® Massage Treatments, as a way to help with various forms of lymph-congestion and structural change through unique myofascial massage techniques.

The Lypossage® Training Class with teach massage therapists and other qualified, licensed professionals the protocol for Lypossage® Massage lymphatique.

This class requires a high degree of motivation, both physically and mentally... it's a hard class, come ready to work and have lots of fun!

The Purpose of this course is to help the self-employed massage therapist, through the use of an organized and workable business plan.  The course is one-on-one and specifically addresses the following areas:

  • General Summary of the Business Idea
  • Specific Company Summary
  • Thoughts on Products and Services
  • A Description, Market Analysis, Strategy and Implementation, Sales Strategy, Strategic Alliances, Management Summary and Financial Plan.  (This class is hard work and a prerequisite to Practice Building 2)

This is a challenging course but if the Health Services Provider pays attention to the business discussions in the class and follows the Business Plan Outline, the likelihood of business failure will be reduced and the probability of success will be greater. This course is and excellent way to learn how to manage risk.

Superior Personal and Business Ethics are essential when serving the Massage Therapy Client.  In this class you will review Business, Money, Dual Relationships, Transference, Counter-Transferance, Scope of Practice, Culture, Assimilating Common Sense and Law, Framework, Service.  We will do this by using resources from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) and other relevant sources.  The class requires some introspective thought and allows therapists to come together and share what they have learned over the years, with other.  I look forward to seeing you!
