Outcomes: The massage therapist will have enough of an understanding of the spa business, including spa terminology, to get a job in a spa or to begin introducing spa products and services into her/his work environment. In addition, the student will be taught and know different methods of product application and removal. The student will also understand the spa environment and how it may differ from a therapeutic massage practice.
The student will:
- Be proficient in three, hands on, spa treatments.
- Pass a written test of 11 questions with a score of 80% on spa terminology
- Understand differences in the spa environment from the massage therapy practice.
